Individual Lessons
Individual lessons are the most personalized and focused. They offer the best immediate feedback and personal attention necessary for developing a serious student of the piano. I teach all ages and take a fresh approach to each student, personalizing the lessons and material to help them play music that they love, rather than putting them into a box with certain pre-selected pieces they have to learn. I take the time to understand the student's learning style so I can teach in a way that is fun and motivating.
Depending on the student's age and ability, I recommend ongoing 1/2 hour - 1 hour lessons weekly, and schedule times on an individual basis. I offer a free introductory lesson with no obligations, at which time I assess the best length of time, the needed books for study, discuss schedules, and answer any particular questions that come up.
Rates and Availability
For individual lessons, my basic rates are $30/ 1/2 hour and $60/ hr. I am available Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-5:30pm, and Friday from 8:30am-2:30pm.
All students participate in weekly individual lessons, recitals, and other events. Students are highly encouraged to attend public concerts or performing arts events where they will develop a broader appreciation for music, artistry, and style. The development of the ear through listening to great music is invaluable for a musician’s growth.
